Fishing Anniversary Cake
This cake turned out so cute!! It is a double layer chocolate cake covered in chocolate butter cream. I then decorated the top with grass and trees and made a heart shaped lake in the middle of it. The water in the lake is tinted piping gel. I then added on some candy rocks and fondant flowers and some gummy fish. The little people are made from fondant - my first try at sculpting anything in fondant. I was worried they were to big, but I think they fit in perfectly somehow.
Graduation Cakes
I made these two cakes for the school's 8th grade graduation celebration. One is white and one is chocolate and both are double layered covered in butter cream. The diploma and graduation cap are made from fondant and the Tiger (Sembach Tigers) is a butter cream transfer. I was pleased on how they turned out!
Baseball Cake
This cake didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. The entire area ran out of fondant so I had to nix my fencing and benches as I didn't have enough time to do it with anything else. It still turned out pretty cute. Double layer, half chocolate and half yellow cake covered in butter cream. The bat and ball are made from fondant and the signs I printed off and laminated.
School is Out Cake
This was a super fun cake to make! It is half chocolate and half white both double layered with butter cream. The chalkboard is made from fondant. The pool/lake is edged in crushed oreos and then the water is piping gel tinted blue. Of course we got little teddy grahams and life savers as rafts. The tree is made from fondant and the beach ball is made from fondant. The kids loved it!
Horse Cake
This cake gave me ALOT of trouble ... it is a double layer chocolate cake that I carved to look like a horse and then covered in butter cream. The original pan I bought wouldn't fit in my oven so I had to go with a smaller pan and then piece it together which was a pain. I wasn't able to freeze the cake before cutting it as it wouldnt fit in my freezer so when it came time to frost it I had cake crumbs everywhere. All in all I don't think it turned out to horrible.

"Car" Cake
This was a really fun cake to make... it is a quarter sheet chocolate with butter cream frosting. The little boy wanted a road on his cake but my black icing color didnt make it in, in time so I had to go with a dirt road - the road is made from crushed cookies. The rocks are candy rocks and the trees are waffle cones covered in butter cream frosting. The cars are real toy cars and the signs are print offs.

Stereo/Karaoke Cake
This cake was fun to make it is a triple layered chocolate cake that I cut the front off of. It is all done in butter cream frosting but the CD on top is a real CD. The little girl wanted lime green and turquoise so I did my best to match those colors wasn't the easiest task.
She loved her cake and she thanked me again when she saw me after the party telling me that it was so delicious and it looked really cool.

Hannah Montana Cake
Dora and Diego Cake
These cakes were a lot of fun to make. The Dora cake is a 10 inch double layer round with butter cream frosting. It is decorated with various grasses and leaves and vines. There are fondant flowers and pretzel and fondant trees. The animals are plastic. The Diego cake is a 12 inch double layer round and a 8 inch round with butter cream frosting. Once again I added various grasses, leaves and vines in different colors of greens. The water is piping gel I colored blue with gold fish crackers for fish swimming in it. The bridge is made from pretzels and the rocks are jelly beans.
D.A.R.E.
This was another fairly simple design ... I tried to do the lion that is the DARE mascot but it just wasnt working out so I took him out and just added DARE to the center triangle. It is a half sheet with butter cream frosting. I then added on 4 - 8 inch round cakes each with a letter to spell out D.A.R.E. - the second picture shows it on the table ... I think it turned out pretty nice all set out together.

Purse Cake
This cake was alot of fun to make. The purse is chocolate cake covered in fondant to make it look like a little handbag. The bottom cake is white covered in butter cream frosting. The little accessories are all made out of chocolate. I had some issues with the chocolate I bought from the on base store it wouldnt melt so I had to go with all pink and brown for my accessories, but I still think it turned out cute. The little girl who I made it for just LOVED it I got a HUGE hug and she kept saying "I love it".

Donut Birthday Cake
I made these cakes for my daughter's 3rd birthday and my son's 10th birthday. They aren't perfect but since we were eating them shortly after I made them I figured it was okay. My daughter is obsessed with donuts lately even though when you give her a donut she wont eat it - so I decided to go ahead and make a cake look like a donut. I made the smaller donut cake for my son - I made him a batman cake to take to school. They are both yellow cakes the larger one has a chocolate pudding filling.
Batman Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my son's 10th birthday. I had some serious frosting issues and the grey should have been lighter but all in all I think it turned out okay. I took it to his classroom and they all loved it. It is a chocolate with buttercream filling on the bottom and yellow with chocolate filling on the top.

Dr Seuss's Birthday Part Two
This is the second cake I made for Read Across America at the local schools it is exactly like the first cake except I made it on a quarter sheet. We had been on vacation and got home the night before both cakes were due at the school so I was up until 2am finishing up the cakes by the time I started on this one my imagination was to tired to do something different. I still think they both turned out great!
